All of Rainforest Theatre's productions have been new plays and are by donation or free so that they are accessible for everyone in the community. Theatrefest was created to give companies and performers the opportunity to stage their shows affordably (all participating companies receive a venue by donation while retaining 100% of their box office) while providing Vancouver audiences with more live theatre, comedy, and entertainment.
James MacDonald, Producing Director- James is a playwright, actor, director, and producer with over sixteen years of experience and training. He has acted in over thirty productions, written over twenty shows, and directed and produced many others along with Theatrefest. He is the founder of Rainforest Theatre and Theatrefest.
